Watershed is composer Itzik Gil Avizohar’s debut album, a sonic diary
of different scenes, experiences, states of mind and consciousness, recorded in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Naples, Venice, Hamburg and Berlin over the past three years. The album features contributions from double-bass player Erez Meyuhass, London-based noiser Vera Spektor, and the black metal trio Karkait.

This album is an invitation for Avizohar's innermost work to date which cannot be described better than Watershed. While on the surface of first listening one might float upon the water and immerse into the sonic imagery Avizohar builds so surgically, this album reveals its poetic depths and different qualities in re-listening.
Sculpted by various techniques and methods, acoustic instruments, field recordings, analog synthesis, chaotic circuits and digital processing are shaped into a rich world full of textures, lucid melodies and acoustic phenomenons.This album is a collection of different turning points in which we encounter the delicacy edginess of Avizohar’s emotive and artistic language.
